These terms govern your use of Supertaal, a service operated by CTW Studio, Amsterdam, the Netherlands. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Free service

Supertaal is currently provided free of charge. We may introduce optional paid features later, but we will disclose their price and terms before any purchase. We will not charge you without your clear agreement.

Accounts

You can use core learning features without an account. You are responsible for safeguarding account access and providing accurate information. Do not share an account in a way that compromises security. If applicable law requires parent or guardian authorization for a minor’s account, that authorization must be obtained before account use.

You may delete your account from the account page. CTW Studio may suspend or terminate accounts used unlawfully, abusively, or in a way that threatens the service or other users.

Acceptable use

You may not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, scrape it at a disruptive rate, distribute malware, infringe rights, or use it for unlawful purposes. Reasonable personal and educational use of the public application is welcome.

Learning content

Vocabulary, translations, examples, pronunciation, levels, and scheduling guidance are educational aids, not professional advice or certified language assessment. Some content is machine-assisted and may contain errors or regional differences. Please report corrections to [email protected].

Intellectual property

Copyright © 2026 CTW Studio. All rights reserved. Supertaal’s original source code, vocabulary content, branding, and design are proprietary unless a third-party notice says otherwise. Access to the website or a public source repository does not grant permission to copy, host, modify, sell, sublicense, redistribute, or create derivative works from proprietary material without prior written permission from CTW Studio.

Third-party software, model assets, artwork, and other materials remain governed by their own licenses. Open-source dependencies may use MIT, Apache-2.0, BSD, ISC, or similar licenses; exact dependency versions are recorded in the project’s lockfile.

External services

Optional features may use Google sign-in, browser speech services, and third-party hosting. Those services have separate terms and privacy practices. CTW Studio is not responsible for external services outside its control.

Availability and liability

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, perfect accuracy, preservation of local data, or compatibility with every device. Back up information that is important to you.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CTW Studio is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the free service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights.

Changes and governing law

We may update the service and these terms. Material changes will be posted with a revised date. Dutch law applies, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections in their country of residence. Disputes are subject to the competent courts under applicable law.

Operator and contact

Supertaal is a CTW Studio product. CTW Studio is responsible for the service’s editorial content and for the personal-data processing described in the Privacy Policy.
